Connect the display unit to another computer and see if the display unit works.
1) Turn off the computer.
2) Connect the display unit to another similar computer:
a) Disconnect the display unit power cable from the power receptacle.
b) Trace the video cable from the back of the display unit to the back of the computer.
c) Unscrew the connector screws completely until the video cable connector can be gently pulled from the connector on the video card.
d) Remove the video cable from the connector on back of the display unit.
e) Move the display unit to another computer.
f) Repeat steps 2)a) through 2)d) above for other the computer system.
g) Inspect the shape of the connectors on the video cable and video card, holding the cable connector so that it matches the shape of the connector on the card.
h) Gently insert the cable connector into the video receptacle on the video card on the back of the computer.
CAUTION: DO NOT force the connection: this could damage the fragile connector pins.
i) Plug the display unit power cable into the power source.
3) Turn on the alternate computer.
4) Observe the display and see if the colors return to normal.
